Care & Carers has been set up by care professionals with many years of experience in running successful family businesses. We have a genuine understanding of difficulties experienced by the cared for and their families and seek to provide ethical, user friendly care. We believe our carers and staff are our champions.
Apart from offering regular supervision and training, carers have access to online and over the phone support to ensure they can carry out their responsibilities with confidence. Additionally, we run a regular learning club where complex issues, case studies and challenges are presented and discussed. These clubs are attended by representative service users.
We’ve built a platform to make our service delivery transparent and responsive. A care plan will be prepared by working closely with service users and their families and they will be able to monitor its delivery task-by-task on line, make suggestions and read reports.
Family members will be able to send messages, reminders and remarks to carers. For example, “this is the shopping list for tomorrow”.
We have a cloud-based recruitment process ensuring that jobs are not offered unless all critical checks are completed satisfactorily. For example, obtaining references or satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups.
We believe that our carers are champions. Therefore, we pay above the market average, offer a contributory pension scheme, pay travel expenses and provide free work uniforms.
Service users will get an opportunity to rate our carers after every visit, rather than once in a while, to ensure we provide a satisfactory service.
We train our carers in communication skills, accomplishing complex tasks and person-centred care.
Our aim is to provide a high quality, safe and efficient domiciliary care and home support service to adults. We have a good understanding of our clients’ needs, are aware of the challenges they and their families face in sourcing high quality care, and are committed to making a difference to their lives. We have a good understanding of connected care technologies and aim to utilise technological advances to minimise risks associated with home care services and facilitate our clients‘ and their family’s involvement in planning their care. We know that the role that the Care Workers will play is crucial to our success. Therefore, we aim to build a community of well-paid, well-supported and highly skilled Care Workers.
